With the development and advance of microelectronic technology, wireless communication technology and sensor technology, the wireless sensor network (WSN) has been developed rapidly, and it has become one hot research of IT field. WSN technology is a technology with related applications. As it has a very broad application prospects, and can be used in military defense, environment monitoring, industry control, traffic management, health field, and many other fields, the research and implementation of application system of sensor network promise significance.This paper is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The agriculture application system of WSN is researched and designed in this paper. The monitor and control function of system has been realized.This paper firstly explains the background and status of application system and nodes of WSN at home and abroad, indicates the significance of this paper. After analysis the characteristic and requirement of the agriculture system, an agriculture remote monitoring system based on WSN is constructed. The important research is the hardware of node in this system. According to the hardware architecture of WSN node, the processor module, wireless communication module, sensor modules and energy supply module of node have been designed. At the same time, according to the requirement of low cost and micromation, a new inverted antenna F (IFA) has been designed to optimize the performance of node. Using the HFSS antenna simulation tools of Ansoft Company, the parameters of IFA antenna have been simulated. Later, it has been compared to monopole antenna. The agriculture remote monitoring system, using the nodes designed above, has run long-term in agricultural base of Beijing suburbs. The sensor nodes in this system have acquired the temperature, light, air humidity and other information. Through the analysis and evaluation of test data, time delay, network flux and other information in this system, this system has been proved feasibility and effectiveness. At last, it also summarizes the paper's main task and anticipates the more research aspects.
