'Ceramic Printing Computer-to-Plate System'is a highly automatic system for plate-making in ceramic-print industry. This system, making use of computer, predigests the plate-making procedure, and at the same time, improves the quality of printing block.Firstly this thesis introduces the development and trend of Computer-to-Plate System. Based on this theory we present the importunacy and necessary of developing the Ceramic Printing Computer-to-Plate System. Secondly we expatiate the design of the structure of the whole system including its hardware, software, and every functional module. Finally we expatiate the design of the hardware and software of control system.The control system, which controls the Plate-Making Device actually to accomplish the Computer-to-Plate, is the core of Computer-to-Plate System. We put forward corresponding solution to the software and hardware:Device control software and device driver composed the software of plate making control system. By using the Object-Oriented methods and analysis the function, we implement the software and establish an object module for the software. Meanwhile, in order to realizing the network communication we introduced Winsock programming technology into the designing of software. We realized the communication between device control software and hardware of control system of plate making, by using Virtual device Driver technology.The hardware of plate-making control system mainly includes main control card and focus control card. After analyzing the control characteristic of the plate-making device we put forward the main control card's hardware design based on DSP. The main control card control AC Motors to complete laser head location by using the arithmetic of accelerate/decelerate control, and then control LASER to engrave by generating PWM signal. The focus control card control Stepping Motors to locate Laser's focus accurately based on MCU.At last, we make suggestions to to-be development of the control system of plate making in two aspects: efficiency of plate making and application filed.
