'Ceramic Printing Computer-to-Plate System'is a highly automatic system for plate-making in ceramic-print industry. This system, making use of computer, predigests the plate-making procedure, and at the same time, improves the quality of printing block.This thesis expatiates the design of the structure of the whole system, including its hardware, software, and every functional module. Especially, we study the design and realization of software and arithmetic method in image-screening and color-separation.Image-screening and color-separation, in which the transformation of digital image to digital plate is accomplished, is the core of Computer-to-Plate System. This dissertation analyses many factors, which can affect the human seeing, in image-screening and color-separation process, then puts forward corresponding solutions to them. Based on the comparison between the traditional and the digital prepress net art ,we present the composition of the system structure and give detailed analysis and design of software , hardware and machinery part..After the functional analysis of the prepress image software part of the system, we present a rational scheme of the software design, and by using the Object-Oriented method we establish a object module for the software and implement the software function. According to image-screening, we analyses the effect of screen frequency to human seeing. By compare several screening method, new screening methods was designed based on the Burkers'error diffusion halftoning method. When we study the color-separation process, the way in which color is formed is analyzed. By compare the CRT displayer to publishing-image, we discussed the differences in color model and the relationship between them. Then we think over the difficulty of color separation, studying theories of pattern recognition ,and give an arithmetic of color clustering for special color separation. special color separation based on . By compare the traditional halfttoning method and digital screening methods. We analyses the effect of screen frequency to human seeing. By compare several screening method, new screening method was II designed. Based on error diffusion halftoning method. At the same time we realizing the network communication by introduced Winsock Programming technology into the designing of software.4 . Meanwhile, we introduced Dynamic Link Libraries Technology into the software design, which make our software more independence and into modularization.At last, we make suggestions to to-be development of software in two aspects: arithmetic method and functional expansion.
