To meet the demand for the automation of management and storage in the oil depot of ShengLi Oil Field, a distributed supervisory control system is designed after detailed analysis of work flows. The system includes three subsystems of oil unloading, oil delivery and oil storage. Subsystems adopt control station pattern of PLC plus IPC, and autonomously execute process operation. By means of the communication between PLCs and remote devices through PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus, process data acquisition, field device control and real-time fault diagnosis are implemented. The programming software STEP7 and configuration software WinCC(OPC Server) are installed in the IPCs of subsystems. The control programs for process operation have been developed in the STEP7 environment. Work flows, process variables and communication links are configured with WinCC. For convenient access to the production process and business data, a supervisory computer is added on the top of the system. This computer accesses three subsystems with WinCC(OPC Client), and publishes process pictures, historical data and alarm message to the Intranet with WinCC Web Navigator Server. Due to the extremely high stability and reliability, the system suits process supervisory in oil depot. Since the application of the system, production efficiency has been enhanced, and the information integration of business management and process control has been realized.
