Along with the semiconductor technology development, the electronic device and electronic product is more miniature, intelligent and low-power. Simultaneously the image processing technology fast development and the new DSP processor emergence impelled the existing image video product to turn to a new generation. The core component of image acquisition and processing system is TMS320DM642 which is a high performance multimedia digital signal processor of TI corp. The system can remedy the shortcoming of image processing system which is using now. The dissertation proposed the brand-new design idea and solution to system design.Firstly, the dissertation introduced the background, purpose and significance of project. It also summarized the development and application of digital signal processing; summarized the characteristic and significance of real-time processing system; briefed the DM642 core structure and the peripheral; narrated the merit and parameter of COMS camera MT9T001, in comparison with CCD camera. Secondly, narrated the design of system hardware in detail. Include the chip choice, the extended of mass memory, the image acquisition module, the power system, the clock system, Ethernet and the system interface. Adopting the modular technique design the system hardware. The system has better expansibility and economical efficiency. Revising continually the PCB layout and system schematic circuit diagram by the problem in design the PCB board to achieve request of high density wiring. Analyzing the EMC of high speed PCB board, and has made signal integrity analysis. In the end, all high frequency signals meet the requirements of signal integrity analysis. Finally, this article analyzed the development flow of system software; introduced the CCS IDE and program optimization; made the final summary to the paper and forecast the next development. The further proposal to design was given at last.
