In the current highly competitive, rapidly needs changing market environment,enterprises must enhance economic efficiency and market competitiveness. It is necessary tooptimize the business processes, the use of information technology for the reconstructionprocess, achieve an orderly and effective management and a high degree of flexibility.Advanced workflow technology can help enterprises to achieve this goal.Container's transfer in terminal has order and strict rules, which involve a number ofdepartments: As traditional container transfer control, in the course of operation will have alarge amount of data and difficult to manage and maintain. So the traditional method can nolonger meet modern needs of the pier. Pier enterprises need to build and strengthen thecontainer management system, maximize its operational capacity, to the fierce competitivemarket place. Workflow technology applied to the container management processes, it can notonly improve the efficiency of port operations, Terminal can also help enterprises businessprocess analysis, process optimization and recycling.This paper's background of the topic is Dalian BHR-Frontline science and technologylimited company's actual project, paper's starting point is workflow, with the containerterminal management, through modeling method based on Colored Petri Net has been appliedto the container management system analysis, developping container dynamic managementsystem based on workflow technology. The systems use workflow technology, with thesupport of in a large number of functional modules,management the import and exportcontainer, for the operation process control, significantly enhancing the import-exportcontainer operations efficiency.The article lead to a kind of model based on colored petri net, the model overcome thetraditional petri net's shortage, making the model become to keep a view,simple, and adapt incontainer turn way vividly. Business process combined to container turn, discuss the concreteapplication of that model, and carry on a verification to the accuracy of that model.Then, thethesis combines workflow technology and the relation type database, the work thatdeveloping a lightweight workflow engine.The realization of the engine depends on in therelation database, table,storage process and trigger. Asking for help from the mature techniqueof the relation database system and supporting workflow of synchronized server, optimized the workflow performance. In the end, introduce the container dynamic management systembased on workflow directively, giving system realization of the way and the result.Application of workflow technology raised the vividness of the business enterpriseproduction line and control,direct and automation or the half automation performance incontainer management system.That system has already been in usage currently, theapplication result is good, getting the good opinion from container terminal of Dalian port.
