This task comes from egg powder producing technology alteration project of some company. In this paper, a monitor and control system based on PROFIBUS technology for egg powder producing is described.According to the analysis on the technical procedure, technical demand and requirement of users, the scheme of this project based on PROFIBUS technology is put out. After analysis the advanced features of the fieldbus technology, the technology and communication principles of PROFIBUS-DP and PPI are mainly discussed, and they are applied to set up this system network. The building process of network is described in detail.Then the human-machine interfaces are designed and developed by using configuration software WinCC included in SIEMENS PCS7. Some peculiar technology and functions of the human-machine interfaces are discussed.At the same time, Petri Net, a valid system analysis tool, is adopted to establish the Bus Access Protocol model of the Data Link Layer in PROFBUS-DP protocol. It is SPN Model of the Master-slave Mode between PC and S7 200PLC. Moreover the real-time performance and reliability of PROFIBUS-DP used in this system are analysed based on the model. Then some performance parameter estimate methods are put forwarded.The system has been put to use successfully. It improves both the product quality and the corporation benefit. It improves the informationization and automatization degree of the corporation.
