It organicly combines geography space position with mutuality attribute information, exports graph and character to user according to the actual require, and supplies all kinds of assistant decision-making functions by dint of its particular space analysis function and expression method through viewdate.The characteristic of telecom network resource data is generous and has tight relationship with the map, fiber network as a example, all kinds of its resource(for example, equipment rooms, pipes, fiber, fiber connecting boxes) contains all space vector information that tokens space position and topology relation, and attribute information that records idiographic content and entitative characteristic. Therefore, by catching the geographical space distributed characteristic of fiber network resource, and the using of geographical information system's advantage in space data management, we development fiber network resource management system with geographical information by GIS technology.In the meantime, because of fiber technique extensively applied, the network scale keeping on extension, request of service continuously raising, realization of benefit for investment gradually strengthening etc,which also need to rely on a GIS technique to thoroughly change management method of traditional fiber network and promote management level.Base on above reason, according to several years fiber network construction management experience, we make an investigate analysis on the need of system construction, and make sure the function structure, system structure,and network of the frame structure.Finally we make a design on system and realize it at final.The system is built in client/server architecture, the development tool is Visual Basic.Net. Oracle9i is selected as database management system,and Supermap Objects 5.0 as GIS development platform.In addition to system analyse and design,it also carried on numeral processing to the geography data that system need when circulate.The system carried out common map's edit and operation function,fiber network's space and attribute data management function, can also carry on to the related data comprehensive analysis processing,It is helpful for the programming design and maintenance of fiber network. It can also improve the management efficiency of optical fiber network to raise the movement efficiency of network, promise a whole net the correspondence is unimpeded, exaltation customer's satisfaction.
