Bibliographic Database Mining And Knowledge Transfer

With the development of knowledge-based economy, Knowledge transfer obtained more and more attention. As one of the best sources providing knowledge, library plays an important role in knowledge transfer. A new technology, data mining, is produced to solve the problem about abundance information but poverty of knowledge. Bibliographic database is one of the knowledge resources used most frequently. Bibliographic database mining can contribute to library knowledge transfer.Three parts are included in this paper.Part 1 illustrated the relative concepts and research works of knowledge transfer, library knowledge transfer and data mining. Introduced the techniques and application of data mining in library. Discussed the purpose and major items of bibliographic database mining.Part 2 used CBMdisc for mining of endocrine system diseases papers at first to get the message of current researches of endocrine system diseases researches. Then used SCIE to mine current resarches of diabetes Papers. Used common software and Informetric items in minng process .Part 3 summarized the methods and steps of bibliographic database mining and discussed the existing problems.
