With the development of the automobile electronic technology, it is necessary for varies of automobile control systems to exchange signals in the real-time. The traditional harnesses can not satisfy this information transmission quest, so people turn to the vehicle LAN. In all of these vehicle LAN, CAN /LIN bus with high performance and low cost can satisfy the communication system between vehicle body control electronic units. Therefore it has be applied that body control based on the CAN and LIN.A design of diagnosis system research of a car light control based on CAN/LIN bus is proposed in this thesis. Firstly, the elementary theories and protocol of CAN2.0B and LIN1.2 bus is introduced. Secondly, The basic topology and theory of the vehicle body controlsystem based on the CAN/LIN bus is introduced. This thesis presents an overall solution to the car light control system , designs a hardware circiut, and analyses troubles may happen in the car light control. At the same time, the main chips and their performances used are introduced briefly. Finally, the design philosophy and main flow charts of the software for the system are put forward. After the system design is finished, it is debugged on the automotive light control platform in the laboratory, and the result proves that the control strategy is quite good and the system can diagnose all faults may happen in the car light control.In this thesis, the design scheme of diagnosis system research of a car light control based on CAN/LIN bus can be as a reference model of other sections of the body control systems, for example, the doors, the seats, the screen wipers etc. In a word, CAN/LIN bus has the extensive research future in the field of automobile electrionics, whether on the developing trend for automobile electronic modularization or on the operability of CAN/LIN bus itself.
