Design And Realization Of The Signaling Trace Model Based On AGENT Platform

With the rapid development of the telecommunication industry, In order to keep up with the fast developing telecommunication network, an advanced, complete and unified network management system (NMS) need be designed to perform all-around and effective management on the telecommunication network. The Telecommunications Management Network (TMN), promoted by the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T), is new means for unified and integrated management of telecommunication network. It may simplify the management of a complex network containing equipment from different suppliers and improve the efficiency and quality of service of network, which is of great importance to the development of the entire communication industry. The Operations & Maintenance Center (OMC) is a Unified Network Management Platform designed by Corporation used to manage mobile communication equipment. As a highly distributed software system with high expansibility, the OMC realizes the inter-operation between management and application by using the TMN management model.However, problems appear when the interfaces inside change a lot in order to meet different project needs .It leads to a large number of versions of background network manager and astonishing codes. In this situation, the company began the R&D of"AGENT"Platform in September, 2005. It unifies the interfaces of front and background network manager, reduces development amount, shorten development cycle and then finally improve the market competitive capacity of enterprise.This paper studies the TMN basic concepts and implementation principles first, constructing a theoretical basis for the development of a NMS confirming with the TMN specifications. After short introduction of current OMC system, it emphasizes on the author-involved, conceptual arrangement of AGENT Platform and the kernel design & realization of Signaling Trace Mode. The system has already been working in the communication market, which provides valuable experiences for other Modes'projects based on platform.
