With the development of the controlling, computer, communication, internet and other technology, information exchanging is rapidly covering with the scene from the factory equipment tier to all levels of the controlling and management. Workshop equipment is very complicated and dispersive essentially. As the information controlling requirement of workshop equipment network, it's necessary to add some management equipment according to the practical application of automatic controlling, based on the existing workshop equipment. Bringing together all types of equipment to concerted work can ensure the efficient, stable and intelligent operation of the whole workshop network system.Workshop tier network equipment is quite various, all kinds of equipment requires mutual understanding and adapting to the other equipment parameters information's change relatively, otherwise, it will not be effective or even normal work. In addition, the workshop network system is often dynamic changing, it's necessary to adjust the network configuration as the application changes and equipment upgrade. It requires adequate technical means to support such adjustments and changes, so the network can work more effectively. To reduce the load of the system management work, we must have a strong configuration management and real-time monitor system. It can logically configure the production equipment and the equipment's software system parameters, also can real-time monitor and maintain their state remotely.Based there, this paper analyzes the existing practical problem for the workshop tier equipment, researches the status at home and abroad. It successfully applies the traditional Ethernet network management theory and technology to workshop tier network management. The paper uses a enterprise's production monitoring implementation system as the research background, analyzes the structure of the system and equipment features, divides the workshop equipment into two major species as direct and indirect control equipment; It uses SNMP protocol to expand the private workshop tier MIB information base; It combines SNMP protocol with ICMP protocol to design the algorithm for automatic discovery of workshop equipment network topology, and divides network topology into two levels as the first and second level topology according to the structure of the network; Based on the workshop network topology, it logically configures workshop equipment and software resource parameters, expands the private MIB object nodes in accordance with ASN.1 standard, makes the lexical and grammatical analysis of the relevant documents, designs MIB document parser, which is responsible for the document's reading and display, it can dynamic add, delete and save the MIB managed object data; In addition, there is a need for the effective real-time monitoring the entire network equipment and software resource state, the system monitors the state according to the topology map hierarchically, makes reasonable adjustments according to the curve chart of the equipment state changes trend; it needs to manage the software resources specially, including the configuration of the external and internal software parameters, real-time software monitoring, software distribution and remote loading.The paper ultimately uses J2EE technology and advanced Struts framework to develop and complete a web-based workshop tier network configuration management system. Through communication with the agent on the workshop equipment, the system automatically obtains the state and operation status of the workshop equipment, and configures its various parameters properly. The system integrates the automatic discovery of the workshop tier equipment network topology, the MIB document parser, software distribution manager, and other results of the key technology research. It also validates the feasibility of the result. The system has the features of high efficiency, better transplant, easily maintenance.
