Design And Implementation Of An Online Test System Based On Browser/Web Technology

With the rapidly development of network technology, the remote education have been opened by many universities. Students in miles away from the server can be educated and tested online. Under this situation, therefore the online examination system comes out.This online examination system is designed for user taking part in online examination. The system is also used for inputting or modifying or deleting test questions by system administrator. With this system, the administrator can inquire about the results of the student's test and manage users. This system has many advantages such as the character of opening and convenience and flexibility. The administrator can easily add the test questions into the test questions database. The administrator can also add new test subjects into the test subject database, the students can select the subject which they want to take part in. When the students have finished the test, the system will show the test score right away, and put the test result into database. In addition, this system can forms various test papers by taking out test questions from the test questions database randomly. The content of the test papers depend on the content of the test questions database. Each student has his unique test paper.This is a Browser/Web mode application programmer. It uses Access database system and ASP technology to form this system in server part. In client part, it uses a browser to finish the whole test. The administrator can manage the system when he is in miles away from the server. On this basis, the design scheme of this system is importantly elaborated and the main technology used for this system. The mail functions of this system are introduced in detail, such as maintenance of the problem warehouse, exam management, checking paper, score management and examiner testing etc. As well as the test results are also provided.
