Design And Implementation Of WEB-Based Online Test System

With the rapid development of Internet, People seem to attach more importance to web-based applications in recent years. The web-based online test system came into being just in such an environment. A traditional examination is organized which must go through following steps, such as organizing exam paper manually; examinees take part in exam; inspecting papers manually; teacher enregister scores and so on. However, with the increasing number of examinees and the restriction of examination time and region, the work mission of organizing examination is becoming more and more and the efficiency is becoming worse and worse. So people are paying more and more attention on web-based online test system in order to improve efficiency, objectivity and impartiality.This paper did some research of the web-based online test system and analyzed technology of its realization, combined with the actual project, proposed the design of the overall structure and realization of the main module eventually. The system was divided into three subsystems: administrator subsystem, teacher subsystem, student subsystem. Also made detailed function analysis for every subsystem. This system is based on J2EE framework and B/S(Browser/Server) structure, using SQL Server 2000 as database development tools, Windows XP as the operating system, tomcat as the web server. The system mainly realized the following functions: test bank management, generating test paper automatically, test questions management, test paper management, online test, results query and so on, and eventually the system well realized general request and originated design ideas.
