Design And Implementation Of An Online Web-based Test System Based On Jiujaing University

As one of the important approaches of open education system, network educationhas aroused more and more attentions. To be an important part of support platform fornetwork education, the online test system will be the effective means of teachingfeedback and quality assessment of network education, as well as an innovative reformof traditional paper test. Efficient, secure, and reliable test system suitable for networkeducation has received more and more concerns.With considerations of the research status, the practical situations of web-baseddistance education and the test pattern practiced in Jiujiang University, thecomprehensive demand analysis for a networked online test system is carried out fromfour aspects including user, function, performance, and operation. Then the modulepartition, overall design, and database design of the system are completed, defining thebusiness process and data flow of the system. An Adaptive Genetic Hybrid CodingAlgorithm of test paper composition applied in the system is provided, and the qualityevaluation model of test paper is discussed. Based on the analysis and designmentioned-above, the functions of the overall system are implemented.After test run and utilization in practice, the system proves of stable and easyoperation, being able to support online learning, online testing, auto-grading, resultinquiring, test paper analysis and evaluation. The system design can meet the presentdemands for networked online examination in Jiujiang University. Of course, there issomewhat shortcomings which has been indicated, and this will be the orientation andgoals of system improvement in further research.
