Future mobile communication will provide us more services with characteristic of global, personal and omnipresent than call and SMS. To support various services, the mobile terminal will no longer adopt a single network but diverse networks and it will choose the respective network according to the demand of service. The project named "The Embedded Platform with Multi-services over Multi-networks" bases on the background above. The aim is to design and implement a terminal which adopts diverse networks, such as GPRS WLAN CDMA1X, and support multi-services. The terminal selects network according to the requirement of service and the feature of the network automatically or manually. It will make the best of each network's advantage and optimize the service support. The author researches and implements the USB wireless network card driver of Windows CE.Referring to the project, this thesis researches and implements the USB wireless network card driver of Windows CE, it includes:1. explained the concept of embedded OS; analyzed and compared three usual embedded OS: Windows CE, Linux, Palm; analyzed the feature and architecture of Windows CE; introduced the usual development tools;2. researched the architecture, load mechanisms, interrupt handling, DMA operation and power management of Windows CE's driver;3. researched the architecture, registry setting and required entry points of NDIS driver and USB driver; decide the driver mode which communicates with up-layer protocols using NDIS and makes use of USBD function to communicate with down-layer hardware; 4. researched and implemented the communication method between platform and HFA3842, miniport initialize, required entry points of USB driver, reading device event thread, process of receiving and transmitting data, setting and query information, and registry setting, finally implemented the driver5. tested the function and performance of the network card driver...
