Design And Implementation Of The Miniport Driver Based On NDIS_WDF

At present, the USB data card working as an auxiliary equipment which makes itpossible for people to access the Internet by the method of the mobile communicationnetwork, has a very bright future. But the driver development used for the USB datacard, a network device using the USB interface, is difficult for us.This paper mainly completes the design and realization of the driver which supportsthe Windows Driver Foundation (WDF) and the miniport of Network Driver InterfaceSpecification (NDIS). The driver scheme proposed in this paper have the function ofsending and receiving packets while it also supports the plug and play feature of USBdevice. On the basis of the introduction to NDIS and WDF, this paper plays an emphasison how to develop a Windows Driver under the Windows Driver Kit (WDK)environment and provide a scheme used to develop a NDIS_WDF miniport driver forUSB data card.It is proved by tests that this driver is a combination of NDIS and WDF, meetingthe requirements of USB data card miniport.
