Datacard shows intelligence, intergration, multi-functional and other trends. Withthe commercial datacard, this paper analyzes the network driver and its keytechnology on Windows operating system. This paper aims to enable developersquickly develop efficient and stable network drivers, then improving the efficiency ofdatacard networking, and to adapt to the high-speed development of the datacard.This paper focus on the design of the USB interface datacard network driver, andresearches the design of miniport driver based on NDIS-WDM architecture. Thesisintroduces the related technologies elaborated on the basic concepts and principles ofthe NDIS and WDM. Analysis of the requirements and capabilities of the datacardnetwork driver, modeling the initialization, package management and reset thenetwork interface card of the miniport driver. Introduce the structure of miniportabout the NDIS-WDM layer architecture. Design the different functions andfunctional modules of the network driver. Finally, introduce process of the compileand installation.This driver aims to management the data package with the miniport driver inkernel mode. By the result of running after the driver, this technology improves theefficiency of the driver development, and enhances the portability of the driver.Meanwhile, it can play a gauiding role to design the datacard network driver with aUSB interface.
