Remote Meter-Reading Systerm Based On LonWorks Technology

The LonWorks technology,one of many fieldbus technologies developed in recent years and available as an open standard to all manufacturers,now has been wildly used in the automatic areas ranged from industry,building,transportation to power system.LonWorks control networks offer a feature called"distributed processing"whereby each device in the network can receive,transmit and process network information independently of other devices.This paper primarily researches construction of remote energy-consuming meter reading system based on LonWorks fieldbus technology.The system provides versatile methods for building and managing the control networks.After the different solutions for AMR(Automatic Meter Reading) are demonstrated in this paper,the solution of AMR based on LonWorks Technology can be supplied.The AMR system concludes energy-consuming meters, distributed nodes designed for monitoring data and supervision center.The data in meter are send to LON net by intelligent end and to the upper management machine according to LonTalk communication protocol.system gets data at last.Because the nodes in the network work alone,whether the management machine read data anytime,the spot node can't be affected.The AMR system designed by LonWorks technology is of the merit of short exploitation period,simple laying wire,good real time and stability than other AMR technology.At the same time,it makes use of advanced LonWorks technology and LonTalk protocol,so it predigests workload of developers consumedly and makes them concentrate their energy to design and develop application objects.This saves plenty of time.
