| This paper explores the potential of epofolios as learning spaces for rural school's educational postgraduates. We will design and develop the functional requirement that needed in an object-based eportfolio system at last according all the work we done before. The study first analyzes the literature about eportfolio's progress and its application in teachers'training. Our research objects are the first year of rural school's educational postgraduates concluded 60 teachers from different areas and different majors. By collecting the information of the survey questionnaire and interview, the study uses statistic method to do an analysis and comparison, find out their actuality and their needs in learning, and analysis the feasibility of the application of eportfolio in their training. Besides, Web2.0 and social software techique is in consideration. How to using them in the eportfolio's devloping is also concluded. We will also analysis the functions and its advanTages and disadvanTages of four-eportfolio system for reference. We follow the process of developing a web-based system. Finally work out the system's effect map and frame and structure map around the functional requirement, content frame and technique support phases. The results of this study are as follows:1. Eportfolio has a positive effect on postgraduates'learning. Research shows that these postgraduates have the motivation on learning and professional development. And eportfolio can facilitate their learning requiremnts.2. Diagnoses of the questionnaire and interview annal show that most of the rural school's educational postgraduates have no idea about how to make professional research. They lack of the practice to share their knowledge, resources and ideas. These need school and tutors'lead to the cultivation of share conception and change in their learning style.3. Learner has to collect imformations and useful resource for their learning. The orgnization and management of their epofolios lend them to enhance their ability in knowelege management.4. Investigation shows that rural school's educational postgraduatess isn't familiar with education technology. Let them know the eportfolio's function and effect is critial before them using the system.5. This research studys the application of Web2.0 technique and finds its offer the chance to innovate eportfolio. The proliferation of e-portfolio applications requires compatible software and design standards to support lifelong learning and show its full value. Hope to give some advice to other researchers.Limited in time and condition, the study's eportfolio doesn't carry into execution yet. Its need further remedy. |
