The mobile communication is developing promptly in recently at home, it is found everywhere for the network of mobile communication which greatly promotes the development of economy. However, for the base-station—the main equipment of the mobile communication, how to manage it scientificly and effectively, and bring it to the maximum benefit is a significant task and worth to research. To manage the base-station, the most common and effective method is to deal it with information way, and to make the base-station get the maintenance timely and efficiently.This paper mainly describes and introduces the base-station maintenance information system base-on J2EE&WebGIS. In this article, the main work and achievements are shown as follows: firstly, it analyzes the current development status of WebGIS and describes the theory and technique of realizing WebGIS with the distributing computing model. Secondly, it comes to the J2EE's configuration and its key technique, and introduces the interrelated technique and realizing methods of MapXtreme for Java. Thirdly, the core content of this paper, the design of WebGIS and Java system, is introduced in detail. It contains requirement analysis of software, total configuration of system, the division of function module, and the design of data procedure and data storehouse. Fourthly, it introduces the main function of the system which is already realized, and presents the detail process of the key technique used in the realizing process. Finally, it summarizes the thesis and gives a vista of the future work. The Base-Station Maintenance Information System basing on J2EE can achieve the inosculating integration between base-station WebGIS module and base-station operation maintenance module, and it has following merits: it can be expanded and transplanted easily, its platform is greatly independent, and the system also can improve the work efficiency of maintenance worker by using the WebGIS' visualization function, such as inquiring and trouble alarm of base-station.
