P2P networking has established itself as the killer application in the network, for it has better availability, scalability and fault-tolerance without any interference from a central server. The valuable reference to mobile communication service is provided from the successful P2P applications in the fixed networks. The idea to bring these two technologies together gives a new dimension to P2P applications, such as resource sharing. This paper attempt to explore the feasibility of P2P applications in mobile network, and to discuss the implement methods, the solutions and the key issues about Mobile P2P in detail. The hybrid P2P network proxy in 3G is researched based on analyzing the P2P network model, the features of 3G and the development technology of the Mobile P2P in 3G.The extension of JXME--EJXME is proposed by analyzing the implement technology of Mobile P2P and the JXME limitation which includes the communication mechanism, the functions and the security vulnerability. It is studied in detail that the design of the EJXME Peer services, the EJXME Proxy services and some other issues, such as peer discovery, advertising resources and resources services. The SharMobi, which is a prototype of Mobile P2P based on the EJXME, is implemented in this paper. The functions and non-functions are analyzed, and the development of this system, such as the service component and the security component, are put into practice. The testing environment of the SharMobi is set up, and the system functions, the efficiency of file transfer and the encrypting performance have been tested. The results show that the EJXME can be applied in developing the applications of the Mobile P2P, and this mechanism can reduce wireless bandwidth and provide security service.
