To establish the data exchange system based on international standard and toform a non-paper working environment are CALS system's object. CITIS (ContractorIntegrated Technical Information Service) is one core parts of CALS. CITIS' mainfunction provides AIU (Authorized Information User) with standard informationservices on the basis of obtaining system's information in inside enterprises of primeand in outside enterprises of sub-contractors, project's owners and suppliers.Web Service can realize a solution of resolving system data exchange amonginformation systems based on XML, SOAP in all technologies of realizing systemdata exchange. Web Service's strong agility and abroad adaptability are accordrealizing the solution of CITIS system data exchange.After reading and analyzing lots of home and abroad literatures, this paperexpounds the background, development, relevant technology about CITIS roundly,and analyzes the requirements of CITIS system data exchange function. Web Serviceis selected to resolve the problem of CITIS system data exchange after comparing theexisting technologies of resolve the problem of system data exchange. The mainresearch work of this thesis is as the following:Firstly, there are core problems contain heterogeneous OS, heterogeneousdatabase and development language when resolving CITIS system data exchangeproblem. The requirement that based on CALS standard, Internet, easy adoption andimplement was nail down after analyzing the problems exiting in system dataexchange solution of the enterprise informationize environment;Secondly the solution of resolving CITIS system data exchange with thetechnology of Web Service was presented in the paper. The CITIS-SDEP (SystemData Exchange Platform) was developed in the paper, which based on CALS'standard and Internet. The SDEP's processes were described with UML;Thirdly the Web Service system's message transfer protocol, WSDL, XML,UDDI was studied, and some network equipments were selected and configured;Finally, with the SDEP an archetypal sub-system was developed, which implemented data exchange among heterogeneous databases. An archetypalsub-system oriented manufacture was developed, which implemented graphics fileexchange among heterogeneous Windows OS.
