| Gas monitoring has always been a key element in the security of coal mines. More stable and reliable intelligent gas monitoring systems have been presented by engineers and scientists in an effort to settle this requirement. But for the complex environment factors in coal mines, the wiring has dragged back the step of the whole system performances. In recent years, Wireless network technology, which overcomes the limits of wired networks and brings convenience to our communication, has gone under great development. With tiring wires replaced by invisible radio signals, the sensor network now takes a new look too. More and more attentions have been put on wireless sensor networks in the hope that it will be applied anywhere that needs an efficient and effective mean of monitoring. By the needs of an actual project in coal mine gas monitoring, this article put forward a whole plan of intelligent wireless gas monitoring system based on RF. It also presents the reads the complete research on key technologies, system architecture and the implements of the plan. Main fields and contents of this article are as following:(1) Analyzing the development of intelligent mine gas monitoring systems and the limit brought by wired-transmission. The combing of wireless network and intelligent gas monitoring systems are introduced.(2) Based on the requirements of the commercial project and the conditions in mines, the plan for wireless mine gas monitoring system is presented as the product of a strict, scientific design process.(3) After careful work of demand analysis and parts selection, the two types of key nodes, wireless gas sensor and substation, in the wireless network are present-both in hardware side and software side.(4) The cross-platform control software, which performs the most import role as the control centre of the whole system, is completed in JAVA.To further the research of this article, possible improvements and suggestions are presented at the end. |
