In recent years, the information technology has obtained the swift and violent development in our country. It causes that an equipment becomes possibly,which integrates functions of calculate, communicate, network and sensing and so on. The wireless sensor networks will be use these technical closely. This network is composed of many single nodes, various nodes realize through the sensing and the controlled variable with the environment interaction. The node must be able to complete certain task through the incident cross-correlation. It can work under these bad or special environment where people are unable to close. It is also a revolution of the information sensation and gathering, and it receives more and more focus gradually. At present, it becomes a research hot spot in the field of the information technology.Many scientific research institutions have developed their hardware platform for the wireless sensor network node. The sensor network is the application related network, and the different application had to get different physical paramete.Therefor, it also has enormous difference about its node's design. The difference between these hardware platform lies in the processor,the wireless communication chip and the sensor. This article researched about the application for the bridge structural health monitoring system based on wireless sensor network node.This article researched on the wireless sensor networks node's design, the date acquisition, the communication network and so on, and it also proposed some preliminary points. First it analyzed the evolution reasons of traditional wireless sensor node's architecture, and then proposed an intelligent structure of Wireless Sensor Network Node. For the application of bridge structural health monitoring system,it proposed one kind wireless sensor node design proposal based on the ARM7. And then completed the node hardware platform design with using the LPC2148 processor and wireless communication chip CC2420, then it given each main module hardware circuit diagram. Finally it introduced the node software platform's construction,then completed the data acquisition test and the node general realization. Through test it can ensure the node success ratio and accuracy.In the future work,more attention will be focused on the performance improvement of wireless sensor nodes,and deployment of large-scale structural health monitoring system for real bridge structures.
