In recent years, with the rise of enterprise information construction and the popularity of new technologies such as CAD/CAM/CAE/CAPP, enterprises are provided with advanced product design and develop methods, which largely enhanced their working efficiency. Meanwhile, as the number of engineering drawings and documents increases, the management of design data and technical documents becomes difficult. And these problems, such as information scattering, searching difficulties, frequent changes and approvals of designs, have lowered the working efficiency and slowed information pace in a certain extent. Therefore, it is necessary to set up a project information management system to manage the existing data scientifically and canonically. It is imperative to realize the information integration and share, and gradually form an information management mechanism.This thesis introduces the research, application and development trends of engineering drawings and documents management system. Considering that spatial information has been neglected in the traditional project management, this thesis puts forward a ComGIS-based information management scheme. The main contents of the thesis are summarized as follows:I. The key technologies used in the system development are lucubrated. Including:①the main functions and realization way of the Spatial Database Engine;②the types and characteristics of the project data are analyzed, the Non-first normal form are adopted to manage half-structured and nested project information with different edition, the object - relation - attribute data model is used to manage the final engineering drawing documents, and the storage and management of the half-structured project information is realized in the traditional relation database;③discussed the system security design from the following three aspects: the system network design, the user jurisdiction design and the database design;④Discussed the GIS data acquisition plan based on AutoCAD environment, and used exterior data exchange pattern and the SuperMap data pump technology separately to extract the AutoCAD graphic essentials.II. System design and database design are done according its goal. The engineering drawing documents management system is realized with the use of the CpmGIS technology and the Client/Server network architecture. The functions of the system are expatiated in the thesis, including : management of the user jurisdiction, warehousing of the project and task attribute information, warehousing and maintenance of the task spatial information, reorganization and warehousing of the project achievement documents, inquiry of the achievement documents and statistics of each specialized layers and map demonstration functions.The engineering drawing documents management system has been put into use in a design institute in Chengdu. And it has realized the standardized and informational management, met the demands of the management and inquiry business and improved the management and work efficiency. In addition, the technologies and schemes used in this thesis can also provide a valuable reference for other projects.
