The Design And Implementation Of Engineering Drawing Documents Information Management System

In the course of devising, the engineering designer need to search for some design information available in a certain condition from a mass of old drawing documents because a lot of technologies must inherit the old production . On the base of this, it is an helpful technology in the development and implementation of PDM to extract automatically and accurately the information of drawing Heading-Table(HT) or Bill of Material(BOM) , to import these information automatically into the PDM database and to realized the inquire amend and delete the engineering drawing data.The design is consist of the management to engineering drawing pickup the data of Heading-Table(HT) or Bill of Material (BOM) and the management to the data. The whole system is made with VBA on the AutoCAD to realize the work to the SQL database management system.The design pick up a method which allows the users defined templates of HT or BOM by themselves was presented after the technology of extracting drawing information automatically, Base on this method, the text information involved in the engineering drawings can be picked up successfully as well as automatically and relational database can be created at the same time. Through the technology of database, the information extracted out can be searched out accurately with high efficiency.The design stand by the fact of the electric drawing to settle down the need of data inquiring ,count and sum in factory. It is an important supply the product data management (PDM).
