| Most of environmental monitoring information systems are based on the C/S structure, and have many deficiencies such as difficulties in software installation and data updating and so on. WebGIS integrates Internet into GIS. It has many advantages such as cross-platform, improve resource sharing. Therefore It is of great significance that applying WebGIS to environmental monitoring system.Firstly the paper expounds WebGIS technology. Based on this a three-tier B/S environmental monitoring information system architecture is proposed. The system is divided into client, application server and database server. System's demand and functional modules is analyzed and designed in detail.Secondly the characteristic of environmental monitoring spatial data is studied in this paper. The thesis use vector data structure as the spatial dat a storage structure. The storage strategy of stability data is discussed and p roposed two solutions. Relation database SQL Server2000 is integrated with spatial data engine SpatialWare, implement spatial data and attribute data bo th storaged in relation database.Lastly the thesis use MapXtreme 2004 and Visual Studio.NET 2003 as system development environment, research and develop the GIS Map Server and also discuss the key technology. |
