On Editing Methods Of Chinese Official News Website

Since "Chinese Trade Newspaper" first touched Internet in 1995, the official news websites have been in vigorous development and have been playing a pivotal role in today's news propaganda. As the most representative official news website, the people's net and Xinhua net have made a great progress through these years'development and have made increasingly powerful influence.The appearance of network as information carrier makes no difference on news connotation as it doesn't make great effect on "the truth" cotained in news but mainly changes the dissemination channel and dissemination means of news. The news websites, especially several state-level, provincial level ones offered key supports by our nation, relying on their own sufficient funds and congenital medium resources superiority, have obtained amazing achievements and created thief own news editing method. But generally speaking, at present systematic theory explorations concerning editing of news websites have not been carried out yet. This paper aimes to explore editing pattern of news websites through the research on editing practice of six top official news websites.The paper first summarizes the characteristics of news dissemination via internet and mutual relations between official news websites and the traditional newspaper industry; above this, it analyzes in detail editing characteristics of official news websites from two aspects: the editing of information itself and the editing web page. Through comparison with the traditional newspaper industry, the paper analyses the difference in editing method between news website and newspaper and expores the mutual effects. Besides, the paper pointes out some existing problems while admitting good procedures, which provides faily good basis to improve editing level of news websites, enrich editing methods and further its development.
