Webpage layout design have many similarities with traditional media, such as text, images and so on,all of them are according to certain logical relationship of permutation and combination. The traditional layout aesthetics from the perspective of formal aesthetic in the symmetric equilibrium, simple and neatly, harmony and contrast, proportion, rhythm and unity in diversity and other laws to determine the success of layout, but the rapid development of the Internet for the website requires content and form, concept and technology. The format design of Webpage layout must follow the aesthetic rules in the Internet age, the author tries to take the new network layout "Aesthetics" as the point, to make the form, content and essence of network communication more beautiful.The author used the "985"universities as the research object, starting from the aesthetic perspective, with the methods of communication, comprehensive of observation, literature research and content analysis. Comparing the website construction between Chinese universities and some American universities and making a horizontal contrast, analysis of construction of university website of foreign advanced ideas and some successful initiatives, to provide some reference for domestic colleges and universities.
