A Research Of The Relationship Between Intellectual And Media In The Mass-media Age

During recent years, a lot of study factions express the unprecedented concern on intellectual. It's easily for us to draw the reason that on the one hand, the history of intellectual's uncertainty, especially doom fates are worthy to have a second thinking; on the other hand, intellectuals have to confront the new coming difficulties in the reality world. As discussed before, it leaves us too much to ponder and study. One of the subjects is the relationship between intellectual and mass media, which is also the topic of this paper.After defining the conception of intellectual, the thesis analyzes the diversification of intellectual's new role and environment in nowadays. The following part is mainly about the current discourse situation of intellectual in mass media. The intellectual take the role of opinion leaders in mass media, in which way they can play the most important part in enlightening and improving the public, supervising the public opinion and so on. Nevertheless, intellectual have to sacrifice themselves a lot for the reason of being restricted by all kinds of media regulations. At the end of this paper, the thesis tries to construct the ideal roles of intellectual exiting in the media, and find a practical road for which the intellectual can finally get on pretty well with mass media.
