Follow-up is a kind of working-style in which doctor apply tounderstand the patient's illness in the field of medical treatment and scientificresearch. It includes in the near future and at the specific future follow-up.The early follow-up was mainly used to record management. With thedevelopment of medical technology, follow-up has become a problem whichdifferent kinds of people including doctors, patients, hospital administers,and medical record room staffs are common interested.This article discusses the design of the medical follow-up systembased on Internet after analyzing the follow-up system on domestic andabroad. What's more, introduce a number of technical that include UMLS(Unified Medical Language system), CRM (Customer RelationshipManagement), ASP+ADO, and XML. And then, we describe design andimplementation of the system for example of paraplegia patients. In the end,we give a summarization and outlook on the system for its application inElectronic Hospital Record (EHR) in the future.
