Research And Client Software Implemention Of Remote Management Of DSL CPE

Through several years'development, the DSL(Digital Subscriber Line) technology is becoming maturely. DSL devices are applied in common customers more and more. DSL CPE is configured, monitored, maintained and updated according to practical conditions. But the management (configuration, sovling malfunction and so on) of CPE needs the professionals, costs expensively and takes a lot of trouble. The TR-069 protocol, produced by DSL Forum in 2004, defines the general framework that encompasses remote configuration and management of DSL CPE through network. The TR-098 protocol,produced by DSL forum succedently,extends parameters that TR-069 defines. TR-069 protocol is mainly analysed and researched in this paper first. Then the research on how to implement remote management according to this protocol has been bringing forward in this paper.Fisrt of all, this paper introduces the application and development of DSL technology and some kinds of DSL technology. It analyses the condition of implemention on remote management technology at home and overseas.Second, this paper analyses TR-069 protocol. It also deeply investigates the functions, management framework and the communication process between client and server that TR-069 defines.Third, we work out modules, implement every module and implement the whole remote management function according to TR-069 protocol in Red Hat Linux 9 enviroment and in C language at last. And it gives test result of this software system.At last, this paper puts forward the prospect of implemention of remote management technology.
