The old scheme of information integration can no longer matchthe requirements of modern enterprises.Java and XML furnish enterprises with a flexible, extensible and high efficiency tool forinformation integration.After fully study of information integration, Java and XML are introduced intoapplications of integration by this paper. Combining with Java and XML, the designing ofXML Database, and, the mapping modes between XML and relational database, and the issueof Java XMI data binding are studied.After investigating into the problems which are analyzed, this paper puts forward a modelfor information integration based on Java and XML, which provides us a convenient solutionthat is independent of database and operating system. The applications of informationintegration that are exploited under this model, can realize integrated database applications ofdifferent database, network platform, operating system and computer language. In the end, theMIS integrated of LILANG cot. is demonstrated to realize and testifies its practicability andfeasibility.
