Research And Implementation Of Heterogeneous Database Integration Based On XML And Java

Database integration is the demand of coordination between not only different enterprises but also different departments inside them, the goal of which is to realize data sharing between each heterogeneous data source, so as to make the most of resources, attain high performance of the whole application system and hold the chance of business in time.Nowadays, more and more enterprise applications need to integrate various database sources. Many problems, such as heterogeneity, integrality, semantic conflict and content restriction and etc. will arise when compositive heterogeneous databases system of the corporation is constructed.Being researched as they are, the arisen issues—the referred XML and Java—of heterogeneous database integration in management system project of intelligent building, are firstly discussed in this paper, and then the advantages of the two technologies are analyzed, followed by several conditions and strategy of heterogeneous database integration. Finally, in terms of the practical issues in the project, a scheme is proposed based on XML and Java, namely a mid-layer is added to the former three-layer structure based on B/S to provide seamless connection and sheer visit between users and heterogeneous database. The mid-layer consists of three parts, metadata preserving mapped information from entire data to partial data;disassembling-assembling implement, mainly disassembling and attempering consultation and filtrating and assembling its return result;consulting implement, connecting and consulting each heterogeneous data source.The two technologies used in this paper are hot technologies nowadays, without the usage of the third party plug, which saves the expenditure of application management system application of intelligent building. And its feasibility and effectivity has been proved by practice.The integration of heterogeneous databases, which make the systems without expansibility can visit each other transparently and eliminate the information isolated island, is becoming more and more important in nowadays in which information is eagerly needed. Consequently, the resolvent illustrated in this paper has a greatpractical signification.
