Research And Implementation On XML And Java Based Middleware System For Heterogeneous Database Integration

Data integration is the demand of coordination between not only different enterprises but different departments inside them, and the goal is to realize data sharing between heterogeneous data sources, so as to utilize resources effectively and attain high Performance of the whole application system.Today, more and more enterprise applications need to integrate the different information from diverse database sources, and a system to integrate heterogeneous database sources dispersed over a computer network must be developed and several challenges must be overcome to establish such a system: heterogeneity, integrality, semantic conflict and content restriction.In this paper, against above problems, we first introduce the state of research for data integration and Problems, and then analyze the feasibility of heterogeneous data integration based on XML and Java from the Java technology and XML technology in data modelspecification. Finally, based on these analyses, We Put forward a model of Heterogeneous Database Integration Middleware System Based on XML and Java. Then we introduced the design and implementation of every part of the middleware one by one. At the end of the paper, we use an example in personnel information query system to describe how to use the middleware.
