A Research On BLM Documents Information Management Of Buliding Project Based On PBS

The thesis makes a research into BLM documents information management ofbuilding project based on PBS, which offers efficient and advisable organizingapproaches to an immense number of documents in construction project so that theinformation with various forms can be fully applied and the efficiency of projectmanagement are eventually boosted with scientific and standardized documentmanagement in small and medium-sized building projects.The main research contents and steps are as the following:Firstly, with the analysis of the practical demands of modern engineering projects,the engineering projects documents breakdown models based on PBS are establishedto classify, code and integrate documents.Secondly, the management strategies about project documents are put forward.With these strategies all partners engaged in the project can exchange informationpromptly and accurately, conduct management efficiently, and objectively note andreflect the whole process of the construction, which may provide sufficient sharedsources for the sequent projects.In addition, the BLM theory analyzed in the thesis is introduced into projectdocument management to extend its time span during the project.Furthermore, based on some comparatively mature theories such as PBS, documents information management, BLM, etc., the engineering project documentmanagement system for the new campus of Inner Mongolia University is developedwith the study of document management in small and medium-sized projects and thescientific analysis and resolution.
