By the end of September in 2005, many famous persons openedtheir own blogs at "sina.com", which brought a huge impact to thedevelopment of China's Internet whithin a short year. The celebrity blogis affecting the way people work, learning and even their lifestyles. Thisarticle is mainly to examine the rapid expansion of the celebrity blogfrom the point of view of the traditional paper, to analyze thecharacteristics of transmission, to explain the celebrity blog from thetraditional "medium is the message" theory, "Agenda Setting" theory,"Gatekeeper" theory. Finally, this article will focus on analysis of theexisting problems in China's current celebrity blog, and on its impact onthe community, and will look forward its orientation of development.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is on the outlineof development for celebrity blog, including what is blog, celebrity blogin China's current development and analysis of the reasons for the rapiddevelopment of celebrity blog. The second part deals with theexamination of celebrity blog features in view of communicationperspective, which is mainly from the four areas such as the maintransmission, transmission content, transmission type, elaborate mode oftransmission. The third part interpretated the celebrity blog on theclassic theory of communication including "'the medium is themessage", "Agenda Setting Theory, "and "Gatekeeper Theory." Partâ…£discussed the existing problems and the direction of development of thecelebrity blog.
