Research On The Construct Of Large-scale Water GIS

Since the concept of "digital earth" has been put forward, water informatization was on the way of vigorous developments. GIS ,as an effective space technology , integrating with water application systems can make up for the traditional irrigation system for space information utilization rate is not high, spatial analysis functions is not strong enough and visual effects are poor, so that water information systems presented a brand-new appearance.On the other hand,water GIS is a complicated systems engineering which include various knowledge.So it is very necessary to build a stable, efficient and flexible system platform.The paper researched the key technologies and realization of a large-scale water GIS,and studied the system architecture, project configuration and model management deeply.According to the actual needs of the project,we design the system framework utilizing the technology of scheme management and modelbase,integrate GIS and professional models into the system and guarantee the coupling and communications between GIS and professional models in order to make full use of GIS spatial analysis functions, as well as professional models in their respective areas of strengths.The paper discussed how to build Water GIS and construct integration framework from three aspacts of constructing of GIS application platform,integration of data tier,and combination of GIS and professional models. On the basis of theoretical research as well as instances,the article proposed appropriate solutions.We hope it can offer referrence for craft brother in terms of organisation and develop of Water GIS.
