This thesis intends to apply the theory of Product Life Cycle (PLC) to the telecommunication researching scopes. Based on deeply researches about related knowledge of telecom product and analysis, three models are gived to resolve the problems faced when doing telecom product PLC analysis: they are the model to describe the telecom product life curve, the model to recognize life cycle phase and the model to predict the development trend of new product.Firstly a new model presenting the telecom PLC is set up, considering the measurement of enterprise environment and the influence of market and competitors, then the definition of telecom PLC phases are redefined. After comparing the advantages and disadvantages between three common identification methods, the Gompertz growth curve method is used to indicate the product is in which life phase. Then data mining cluster algorithm is introduced to find product groups in which products may have similar development process, and curve fitting is used to predict life cycle of new product based on the develop process of similar product. Finally, these three models are applied in real case to validate models' feasibility and veracity. Based on those tests and analyses, the telecom PLC analysis system is designed in detail, and then is implemented by JSP and HTML.The conclusion drawn from this thesis is that these three models will be a strong support for enterprise decision-making.
