The traditional computer data acquisition system adopts the PCB installation. It is constrained by the limited numbers of computer extension slots, memory addresses and interruption I/O resources so that it can not connect with many more devices. Moreover, the system bus used to only have electrical protocal other than standardized communcation protocal which is realized by software. So it brings the development difficulty.This paper comes from background of current monitoring during burn-in of power supply product, proposes a new structure of computer data acquisition system. It adopts CAN bus to connect all on site data acquisition nodes, uses one general node as the protocol adaptor, through USB interface and connect these CANBUS based nodes with the computer. In the PC programming, this paper describes a new method through LABVIEW and NI-VISA, rather than traditional method by DLL to develop the USB programming at PC. Through this method, the developer can directly working on USB programming in application layer, no need to work out USB system driver for USB device. This method greatly reduces the difficulty of USB programming,improve the efficiency of development.This paper detailed the design of analogy and A/D circuit, and the key points of CANBUS communication circuit. It describes how the system conduct communiation by describing how CAN and USB works in system. It elaborates the programming design solution and the experiment and proofs this new application's feasibility and practice.
