Design And Implementation Of Visa Management System

With the rapid development of the modern information technology which is based on computer and network and it is widely used in our life,so it is more and more important to improve the visa services through the path of IT Promotion.In the process of applying for a visa,as the paper is data carrier and will be sealed on it,there are several characteristics,including low efficiency in work,statistical information is not accurate,data exchange is not timely,low and safety.Therefore,the existing problems in the visa services now will be solved through the visa management system the paper documents will be transferred into effective electronic files and data persistence.It will provide a basis for the leadership through analyzing of the basic data of the visa applications.This paper introduces the technical preparation,requirements gathering,overall design,detailed design and system testing according to the needs of visa system construction.First of all,in this process of building infrastructure,The J2 EE technology was used after analyzed its content of specification,components and so on.The front-end pages displayed by using the component of Ext JS and background process implementation by using the components such as Spring MVC,Spring,My Batis,and Oracle database,Tomcat server.Secondly,According to the functional requirements indicating,the visa management system consists of the following six functions: new applications creation,visa registration,creating meeting for visa approval,registration expenses of visa,visa printing,statistical reports.And then,the completion of requirements modeling,database modeling,process modeling according to analysis of above system functions.The system requirements analyzing is successfully completed until now.In the module function of new application creation,the acknowledgement of receipt can captures the key information into system by the scanning gun which base on the technology of barcode,and ensure the correctness of the information.In the module function of visa registration,the scanner is integrated with the visa management system,and it provides an ability to scan your paper documents turn into electronic files and upload to the system.In order to ensure there is no criminal record of applicants and enforce the national security,the Interpol is integrated with the creating meeting for visa approval module and based on Web Service technology.In the registration expenses of visa module,the charges voucher will be scanned into the system by using the scanner integrated with the system to accomplish the charging after the fees are paid.In the function module of visa printing,The new way of visa advanced sticker with fake-proof mark will be used to replace the originally way of visa with a seal.And the sticker was added machine reading code to provide border management with convenient,read data directly through the machine and authenticity,validity.Lastly,database design is given to complete system integration development work according to above functional contents.The system testing work plan will be started after the work of development completed,the testing work will begin with two aspects,functional usability and performance feasibility.And the testing results will be analyzed and summarized according to the testing work goals.The visa management system has realized the visa application,paper-based material documents convert into electronic files after scanning,creating meetings for visa approval,registration expenses of visa,visa printing,statistical reports,and meeting the system original expectations.The functions of the system are completed based on the customer requirements that satisfied user business process,and the system show stable and reliable during the initial probation period.The system receives rave reviews from users,and helps to improve the quality of public services and raise work efficiency and enhancing the national security and interests.
