MSTP Technology And Its Application In A Customer Network

With the rapid development and update of the technology of communication, and also in the trend of the development of the all IP network, the transport network which based on Multi-Service Transfer Platform(MSTP) and Automatically Switched Optical Network(ASON) will play an very important role in future for a long time. Based on the analysis of the advantages and necessity of MSTP and ASON existence in detail, and its key technology; specific analysis the use and the implementation of the MSTP technology in large customers network.The main contents of this paper are as follows: First of all, introduce the development background and the key technology of Multi-Service Transfer Platform(MSTP) and Automatically Switched Optical Network(ASON), and by comparing with the traditional optical network, analysis the advantage of MSTP and ASON.Secondly, according to the current status of MSTP network in telecom operators,from the TT1 plane and TT2 plane, analysis the status of China Telecom in Jiangsu, the local transmission network.Thirdly, by analyzing the multipath transmit in MSTP and the Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme(LCAS), Anglicizing the MSTP customer network’s advantage. And this paper gave the examples of several existing network scheme in China Telecom in Nanjing. Finally, through the analysis of the above results, this paper designed two representative networking solutions in large scale customer, and specific analysis it.So far, with the advantage of MSTP Ethernet Service that inexpensive, network flexible, safe and reliable, has already gradually developed into an important component of customer network in China Telecom in Nanjing. It will play a critical role in the future.
