With the development of science and technology, All-in-One resistive LCD touch screen with Microsoft Windows 7 operating system was into the high-end consumer groups since 2010; Following the year of 2012, Microsoft Windows 8 operating system research and development, equipped with ten fingers touch features All-in-One capacitive touch screen also entered the consumer market which brought a new boom.The design concept of All-in-one touch screen LCD module is to realize the touch function through the bonding process between touch screen glass and LCD screen. The current bonding technology is more often used for optics, air and liquid glue direct bonding mode. As the bonding process convenience and low cost, air bonding becomes the first choice of the end-customer recently. The preferred air bonding process affects the product quality and OEM production yield rate because of white spots and other foreign materials in the interlayer of LCD touch screen, and also because of unstable process parameter setting. It impacts the end-customer satisfaction and orders directly.According to those difficulties, this topic is focused on the LCD raw material and bonding process parameter improvement to solve those above problems. Using the DMAIC approach for data collection and analysis, find out the key elements and parameters resulting of foreign materials which were came from LCD manufacturers or OEM process. With the help of Taguchi experimental design concept, get the function of output Y(All-in-one cleanroom process yield rate) and input parameter X(The control factors and noise factors that affects the production yield) is Y=f(x). Selected the best and most stable design solution by Taguchi experimental design techniques and signal to noise ratio. Using Minitab software to operate, verify and predict the most stable theoretical design solution. Finally adopt DMAIC-I to promote sustained improvement and standardize the process quality of raw material manufacture and parameter setting of cleanroom. As a result, LCD raw material quality yield rate improved from 93% to 99%, the scrap cost of OEM reduced about RMB 50,000 per month. Eventually, OEM won the orders and improved customer satisfaction.
