Lu Feikui is a successful publisher and educator. He founded the Zhong Hua Book Company in 1912, which had believed as a great success in the history of Chinese publishing field. From beginning of the foundation of Zhong Hua Book Company to the war of Resistance, the capital of Zhong Hua Book Company had increased from 25 thousands yuan to 4 million yuan, and it's turnover had earned almost a billion yuan. Meanwhile, there were 40 branches of the Book Company all over the world. The foundation and development of the Zhong Hua Book Company has deeply influenced the development of Chinese modern publishing business and generations of China.In the 30 years that Lu Feikui had mastered the Zhong Hua Book Company, he insisted on the belief that combining Chinese quintessence with European's, spreading the spirit of the age, promoting the modernization of education and amending Chinese dictionaries. What he had done made great efforts on popularizing education, accumulating cultures, spreading knowledge and strengthening patriotism. Thus, he was the typical representative who stir to save China by means of education.Despite this, Lu Feikui's special managing theory, strategy of competitive, noble professional morality and superior way of choosing people all expressed his mature marketing idea and excellent management. Under his leadership, Zhong Hua Book Company finally developed into one of the two biggest publishing houses.It is clear that on one hand, Lu Feikui fully expressed his aspiration of saving China as an intellectual, on the other hand, he also owned the talent being a bussinessman. His character set a successful example for Chinese publishing workers, and fully proved that it is necessary for an outstanding publisher owning soul responsibility and mature market beliefs.
