The publication industry of our country has formed the division of vertical condition according to the region and the profession balanced layout for many years. Publishing companies have the same scale and same kind roughly in each province. Teaching material output value holds the absolute and specific part in our country publication. After joining in the WTO, it has brought opportunities and challenges for our publication industry. Many publication groups have been set up in order to achieve resource integration to adapt the new situation and meet the challenges. With the industrial nature becoming clearer, the development direction of publication industry in our country is technological modernization, management scientific style and internationalization, which brings new demands for the talented person of publication industry.In a word, the present situation of the talented person in our country is not optimistic. There are more single type talented person than compound talented person, more words editors than planning talented person and more editors than managers. After joining WTO, the overseas publication enterprises come in our country, engaging the native talented person with the abundant treatment. This leads to the brain drain and impacts greatly on the publication industry of our country. It is urgent to foster and manage talented person scientifically.The talented person cultivation mainly includes: the hire of talented person, occupation training and the encouragement mechanism. The publication industry has dual attributes. This brings a higher request to the talented person of publication industry. The choice of leaders is the key point in choosing talented person. The leader competes opened in the Henan Publication Group can give us experience and reference. Occupation training and the encouragement mechanism are the assurance about using and developing continually for the talented person resources. Occupation training must unify the development of the publication enterprise and take different kinds of training methods. The encouragement mechanism not only combines with the achievement, but also need think over talented person's spiritual needs. It must adapt to the talented person's individuality, and provide a platform for the development and adjustment of talented person with some flexible management.The cultivation and management of talented person are inseparable. It is a wise choice that the publishing enterprises take some humanistic management. Thinking people first is the main method. It is also the core of modern corporate culture. The publication industry of our country will keep going healthily, only because the publication enterprises have the same progress with the talented person.
