YHFT-D4B is a new generation of 32-bit fixed point DSP chip designed by Computer School of National University of Defense Technology.The development of the YHFT -D4B based video capture subsystems can push greatly the application of YHFT -D4B.Meanwhile,the video system has become a popular application in the development of embeded system and it's a indispensable parts in the multimedia information processing.And with the development of the video technology and the increase of the requirement,it becomes more and more necessary to have an ad hoc video signal processing chip.There are two goals of the task.First is the design and debugging of the YHFT-D4B based MPEG-4 video capture subsystem,which employed the calssic structure DSP+FPGA.Secondly,using ripe experience of the video DSP chip design for reference,the thesis will design and validate the on-chip video capture subsystem of the YHFT-VDSP chip.Firstly,the thesis introduced the current solutions of the video application systems, analysed the advantage of the DSP+FPGA implementation structure,briefly accounted the mother board of the YHFT-D4B based MPEG-4 video capture subsystemsh.Then, the the submodules design of the system is expatiated.Throug debugging,it's found that the design can sufficienctly make use of the advantage of the DSP and FPGA,and the whole subsytem works well and it's interface is compatible.Secondly,the thesis analysed the shortage of the current solution and the advantage of the YHFT-VDSP,and studied a lot of technology standards and literature.Based on that,the thesis put forward a design scheme of the on-chip video capture subsystem. Then,the implementation of submodules is presented in length.At last,the design is synthesized and optimized based on Xilinx FPGA.The testing code is programmed to evalidate the design on FPGA.As a result,the on-chip video capture subsystem of YHFT-VDSP can be compatible with many video interface standard,support SD&HD video image capture and preprocessing and can deal with many video format.If applied to the video applications,the YHFT-VDSP can largely increase the quality of video systems,shorten the development time and the time-to-market of the product,and reduce the cost of application system.
