With the development and utilization of marine resources,submarines,torpedoes,mines,underwater robots and other high-tech underwater equipments are developing rapidly.The upgrade cycles of those underwater equipments are shortened,and the performance is improved significantly.The underwater early warning system can obtain marine information.In order to improve percentage of home-made parts of the key components of the underwater early warning system,and to provide better performance and better real-time performance for the whole system,this paper build a low-power information processing hardware platform with high-performance based on the high-performance DSP of National University of Defense Technology and FPGA.The major works are:(1)Hardware architecture of underwater information processing platform bases on YHFT-DSP and FPGA.The platformare combines with a monitor board and anacoustic signal processing board.The platformare takes full advantage of digital signal processing capacity of DSP and ability of the FPGA interfaces.(2)Designing the hardware circuit and program of the monitor board and the acoustic signal processing board.(3)It debugs and tests the peripheral interface module of the monitor board and the acoustic signal processing board,tests the whole platform,and optimizes the network communication interface.(4)Underwater acoustic signal processing board makes use of heterogeneous multi-core DSP.The DSP application architecture based on the operating system task distribution is completed in embedded Linux operating system platform.In this paper,the underwater information processing platform has the reasonable structure,the multiple interfaces,and can control power consumption.The total calculation performance of more than 16 GIPS can support the moniotr system software,underwater acoustic signal processing software reliable operation.
