Nowadays, the network technology and intelligent instrument technology is highly developed. In order to make full use of the network resources, many intelligent instruments which have a network access interface are connected with the network. The intelligent instrument which is connected with the network can server as a nod on the network as a computer. The test data and control information can be immediately and dynamically transported from one place to another place within the network. Now, the Gigabit Ethernet is becoming popular. The technology of large-capacity and high- speed Ethernet signal processing has become a popular topic between peoples. It is a direction of intelligent instruments'development. This article mainly discusses the research and development of large-capacity and high-speed Ethernet signal processing system. The main content of this article include:1) Firstly, the system scheme is designed according to the system requirement. The system is divided into several modules based on function.2) The system circuit design is introduced briefly. It is detailed introduced in this article about the RGMII interface principle and design. Some notices are made here for system design.3) The IP data pick-up technique is particularly described in this article. This article places emphasis on the technique of design of MAC receive controller, data storage, output and comparison in different clock domain.4) This article introduces a method of using Net Search Engine to match and filter IP data.6) In order to verify the correction of the system function, some signals are sampled in fields and analysed.
