| Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) is a new technology which applies in data acquisition, transmission and processing of water, power, and gas' supply and management. As an important part of the automatic system, the shortcomings of traditional manual meter reading can be overcomed by using AMR. Focus on the data communication in AMR, by using the GPRS/SMS technolegy, the thesis study and design an Automatic Meter Reading system with remote wireless communication function.By compassion of scheme, requirement and fuction analysis, the GPRS/SMS communication mode is choosed to meet the demand of AMR system. The seperative construction of concentrator and data acquisition module is presented in the thesis. The concentrator module is desigen to a Class B movable terminal in GPRS which use the Internet communication model between remote monitoring centers. The concentrator can switch GPRS between SMS according the range of the measured data, such as the warning signal which is send to the repairer by SMS so as to maintain as quickly as possible.The concentrator communicate with data acquisition terminals by RS485. The microcomputer MSP430F149 and GPRS integrated circuit GR47 are choosed to desigen the concentrator hardware. By the analysis of the TCP/IP protocol and the GPRS network, the software of concentrator module connected to the Internet is realized. The automatice meter reading between the concentrator and the data acquisition module is realized in the system which has the characteristics of low-power consumption, simple realization, lower-cost and easy-extended and so on. |
